BACKSTORY
Our saga opens on the backdrop of two planets - Earth and Ahkam - separated by light-years but connected by destiny. Earth, ravaged by centuries of environmental damage and war, has birthed a society desperate to survive. Ahkam, an alien planet with its own civilization and conflicts, unexpectedly becomes Earth's lifeline. As Earth collapsed, their last glimmer of hope came in the form of the A.R.C.C., a mammoth spaceship designed to ferry the remnants of human civilization across the vast reaches of space to a habitable planet named Ahkam. The A.R.C.C. was the only chance to ensure the survival of the human species.
Our characters are born out of these dire circumstances and diverse cultures. Rayn Waters, an Earthling astronaut, pilots the massive A.R.C.C.., carrying away 349,712 of Earth’s best and brightest as their planet dies behind them and begin their perilous voyage towards Ahkam. But the people of Ahkam didn’t know of the Earthlings journey for many years. Ahkamians receive a distress message sent from deep space, alerting them that everything went wrong on planet Earth and the A.R.C.C. was already on its way.
The history of these planets is a long, winding tale of triumph and tragedy. Earth, following a dark period known as 'The Lost Age' after a catastrophic nuclear event, managed to crawl back to a state of scientific progress. When Earthlings finally reopened the Arecibo Observatory, they traced the origin of the first message from Ahkam - "We Here" - heralding a new era of interplanetary exchange. But as time wore on, the escalating environmental crisis led to the creation of the A.R.C.C. (ACTIVE RELOCATION CELESTIAL CORE) a covert operation to ensure human survival beyond Earth.
Ahkam, on the other hand, saw a unification of its people. This unity allowed them to progress, leading to successful communication with Earth. The Ahkamians, in their wisdom, welcomed the impending Earthlings, readying settlements for their celestial siblings.
As Earth's last hope - the A.R.C.C. - travels through space, Earthlings and Ahkamians alike prepare for an uncertain future. The characters, shaped by their personal dramas and the colossal histories of their worlds, stand on the brink of a new age. Their past experiences, individual traits, and growth arcs will drive them to make choices that could alter the fate of their respective races, setting the stage for a narrative filled with intrigue, conflict, and a quest for survival.
